John becomes Master

In mid October Thomas Firth Jackson Council held their first post covid Meeting at Dalton Masonic Hall. Whist travelling from place to place, some Brethren encountered difficulties travelling due to major road closures in Dalton!!
Travel problems
Also Thurston Lodge had to move their meeting date from Wednesday 6th October, as West Lancashire Craft Province are having an official visit to Thurston Lodge in Ulverston on Friday October 15th 2021.
Sadly the Master Peter Hampson was unable to attend
Rather than changing the date of Thomas Firth Jackson Council and not wishing to inconvenience our members it was though better to change the time of our meeting at Dalton for John Myers installation, to 11 a.m. with a lunch to follow.
John Myers and Geoff Catterall

Sadly the Master Peter Hampson was unable to attend, Geoff Catterall acted as Master, and he welcomed the District Prefect Paul Snape.
Geoff Catterall then commenced to Install John Myers as Master of the Council for the ensuing year.

The ceremony was carried out in an excellent manner, to the delight of those Brethren present.
Members of the Council
Following the Installation, Paul Snape the District Grand Prefect congratulated John on becoming Master of Thomas Firth Jackson Council, wishing him well for the future.
Ready for Lunch
He also commented on the high standard of Ritual worked in the Ceremony of Installation thanking Geoff for the excellence of the work carried out. He then congratulated all those appointed in office, hoping they had an enjoyable year.
Cheers, another great meeting!!
In reply John Myers W.M. thanked the District Grand Prefect for his generous comments inviting him and all present to join him at lunch.
